Student Night - Sunday night was great. Nathan
Stowell and the band did an awesome job leading the music and Jared
Stowell, the coach, shouldn’t count himself out of preaching. Thanks to
Thomas Armstrong, youth minister at FBC, Keithville, for bringing his crew
here and for all the adults who helped. It was a great night.
Dr. Bill Tolar - If you have read the
Forerunner through you have already been encouraged to come hear Dr. Tolar
teach the book of Romans. A number of students have been very interested
in Romans, so I invite you to be challenged to wrestle with this
incredible letter Paul wrote to believers in Rome.
Mission Opportunity - Saturday, February 9,
from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., we are going to help the children of Emmanuel do a
mission project for the Rescue Mission and the hungry in our community.
SNAC - Sunday night, February 10, at Sam and
Rachel Mott’s home.
Welcome Back! To Michael Frey who will be
helping us on Wednesday nights.
Challenge Week - is in the planning stages. I
am looking for feedback on two different issues. No. 1 - Should be have CW
at the beginning of the summer or near the end (as in our custom)? No. 2 -
Should we continue to follow the story of Israel in “Conquering Canaan”
as they go into the Promised Land or is there interest in studying the
life of Joseph? If you have any thoughts call me at 573-8499.
Mission Trip - and speaking of Mission trip, we
are signed up to go to a Student Life Mission Camp in Durango, Colorado.
Tentatively, we will be gone July 6 - 14. David Nasser is the speaker and
Jeremy Riddle is the song leader.
